Over the past few weeks we have been learning about weather in first grade. Last week Friday our fifth grade buddies helped us make windsocks! Windsocks help us measure the wind so that we are able to identify whether it is a calm, breezy, or windy day outside.
The first and fifth grade buddies worked together to decorate the windsock to represent each other. Now when the first graders look at their windsock they will be reminded of their fifth grade buddy too! After they decorated the piece of paper, fifth graders helped glue streamers, tie strings, and glue the paper into the shape of a windsock. Thank you for helping us with our learning, fifth graders!
