We celebrated the holiday season with a class Christmas party before break! I am so glad the kiddos were able to enjoy a fun afternoon with their classmates on Thursday before they left for break. The first graders rotated between four Christmas stations which included cookie decorating, dressing up for the photo booth, making Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, pinning the nose on Rudolph, playing a Christmas sight word game, and creating gumdrop snowflakes.
After our party the girls did their book exchange, followed by the boys. I was so proud of how kind they were about receiving a new book. There were big smiles and great manners! :)

We loved decorating sugar cookies with frosting and delicious Christmas sprinkles!
Thank you Mrs. Kok and Mrs. Hellenthal for helping us with cookie decorating and dressing up for our photo booth.

At this station the first graders made their very own Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. We ended our Holidays Around The World unit this week with the United States. This Rudolph craft was the perfect craft to wrap up our learning! Thank you Mrs. DuPuis and Mrs. Salas for helping with our Rudolph station.
Next the kiddos were blindfolded and tried to pin the red nose on Rudolph. There were so many giggles when they opened their eyes to see where the nose landed. :)
At the next station the first graders played a Left Right Middle sight word game. Games always make learning more fun! Thank you Mrs. Juros and Mr. Spagnuolo for helping us play our game.
Our last station was filled with yummy gumdrops! Instead of eating them though, the first graders made snowflakes out of gumdrops and toothpicks. There were some very creative designs being made! Thank you Mrs. Mills and Mrs. Willis for helping us with this tricky station.
During one of our Christmas stations the kiddos were able to use a few props and take two photos at our photo booth. These are some of my favorite pictures. I can't get enough of everyone's sweet smile!
Next a silly face...
Thank you so much to the families who donated items and/or volunteered their time to help with our Christmas Party. Our Christmas Party was extra special because of you. THANK YOU!!
